Job Summary
To support various VA Medical Centers, the full-time Remote Pharmacy Technician will process prescription requests, answer calls from Veterans and healthcare professionals, and manage patient interactions while working remotely from Tucson, AZ.
Key responsibilities
- Process and submit new prescription and medication renewal requests using approved VA protocols
- Answer telephone inquiries from Veterans and healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions
- Document patient interactions and manage inbound calls while meeting productivity and quality metrics
Required qualifications
- US Citizen
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an Academic Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Active national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) required
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
