Arizona Licensed Scheduler/Biller

Job Summary

To support patient access in a fast-paced healthcare environment, the full-time Arizona Licensed Scheduler/Biller will coordinate surgical and procedural scheduling activities, manage provider and resource requests, and ensure timely and accurate charge posting, all while telecommuting Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule elective, urgent, and emergent procedures using designated scheduling systems while verifying physician privileges and ensuring optimal resource utilization
• Facilitate communication between physicians, clinic personnel, and procedural departments, responding to inquiries and documenting specific requests
• Initiate billing processes by entering accurate charges and patient information, reconciling charge-related work queues, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• Current Arizona licensure as a Scheduler/Biller
• Experience with surgical and procedural scheduling in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
