Assistant Director of Applied AI
Job Summary
Leading the development of AI-powered software solutions, the full-time Assistant Director of Applied AI will identify business challenges, design effective software solutions, and oversee the delivery of full-stack applications in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead the development of AI-powered software solutions from discovery through production
- Identify high-friction problems and design software solutions to address them effectively
- Lead technical design and direction on projects, communicating tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong generalist engineering experience with proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and experience with GoLang, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with large language models in production and AI tools for driving innovation
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and mentor team members
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence and experience managing AI-related risks and ethical governance
