Assistant Patient Financial Advocate

Job Summary

Supporting the delivery of financial advocacy services, the full-time remote Assistant Patient Financial Advocate will assist with securing financial assistance funding, maintaining case documentation, and communicating with patients and external partners during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Patient Advocates in meeting client and program goals while improving operational efficiency
• Prepare and submit applications for financial assistance funding and maintain accurate electronic records
• Communicate with patients and external stakeholders regarding award status and program details

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Preferred experience in healthcare, patient financial services, or a medical office setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact empathetically with patients
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements and confidentiality protocols
