Job Summary
To support the Department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship, the full-time Assistant Teaching Professor, Legal Studies in Business will teach legal studies courses both in-person and online, maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status through research, and engage in service and collegial interactions within the academic community.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach legal studies of business and related courses with a course load of 3-3 per academic year
- Conduct research to meet AACSB Scholarly Academic standards, including publishing in relevant journals
- Participate in departmental service and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students
Required qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
- History of bar membership with no material disciplinary action
- Experience teaching law or legal studies at the college or university level
- Evidence of research activity and Scholarly Academic status upon hiring
- Two or more publications in law reviews, legal journals, or peer-reviewed journals in a closely related field within the last six years
