Job Summary
Leading litigation strategy and outcomes, the full-time remote Assistant VP Claims Litigation will manage a team focused on liability and coverage litigation while ensuring operational effectiveness and superior customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direction and technical guidance to drive resolution and proactive management of litigated claims
- Develop and execute cost containment strategies and key performance indicators to improve litigation outcomes
- Attract, retain, and develop talent while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- Experience as a practicing attorney or in P&C or Worker's Compensation insurance litigation management
- Significant knowledge of Worker's Compensation and/or P&C coverages, liability, and exposures
- Thorough understanding of contractual risk transfer, tort law, civil procedure, and insurance coverage
- Expert litigation management skills, including large loss management and settlement negotiations
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and leverage analytics for strategic decision-making
