Ambitious scientists will find a full-time Associate, Asset Acquisition opportunity focused on sourcing and evaluating preclinical and early clinical stage programs to treat genetically driven diseases, working remotely or in Palo Alto, CA, or Boston, MA.
Key responsibilities
- Broadly source and identify promising new therapeutic programs through engagement with literature and experts
- Build and manage relationships with academics, patient advocacy groups, and biotechs
- Evaluate potential therapeutic programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, from genetic rationale to clinical trial design
Required qualifications
- Advanced technical degree (PhD, MD, or MD+PhD) in life sciences or medicine from a top-tier institution
- Demonstrated record of scientific achievement, such as lead-author publications or grants
- Experience in management consulting, venture capital, or a strategic operational role in biotech
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Postdoctoral or residency training is a strong plus
