Job Summary
Supporting a government contract focused on Petroleum, Oil, & Lubricants, the remote Associate Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring essential products to ensure military mission readiness while balancing compliance and cost-control strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure packaged petroleum products and chemicals critical to military operations while ensuring technical compliance
- Conduct market analysis and risk assessments to inform purchasing decisions and evaluate supplier capabilities
- Manage supplier relationships, lead contract negotiations, and monitor performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemical Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or chemical management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
