Associate Director, Data Governance

Job Summary

To build and scale enterprise data governance capabilities, the full-time Associate Director, Data Governance will operationalize data stewardship, lead domain onboarding, and oversee strategic governance initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise data governance and stewardship, contributing to governance models, policies, and best practices
• Lead the onboarding of business and data domains into the governance framework, ensuring role enablement and process implementation
• Establish and monitor governance KPIs, initiative progress, and stewardship outcomes to drive continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or enterprise data management
• Demonstrated experience as a data governance subject matter expert within a federated or enterprise-scale model
• Proven ability to influence governance adoption without formal authority
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms such as Informatica or Alation
• Experience leading cross-functional governance initiatives involving business, technology, and compliance stakeholders
