Associate Director of Data Standards

Job Summary

To establish and uphold data standards across enterprise systems, the full-time salaried Associate Director of Data Standards will manage the business glossary, set data quality standards, and coordinate a data steward network while working closely with the Chief Data Officer and the Director of Data Practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the business glossary and manage the resolution process for contested definitions
• Set and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and documentation requirements for enterprise data
• Coordinate the data steward network, including onboarding and maintaining glossary entries and validation rules

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in quantitative behavioral, social, or health science, or equivalent experience in methods and data quality work
• Practical experience in data governance, including building or running a stewardship structure
• Strong background in applied research and evaluation methods, including study design and measurement planning
• Hands-on experience with data capture platforms and at least one statistical environment, with SQL fluency
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior staff and maintain standards without formal authority
