Associate Director of Employee Relations

Job Summary

Leading a high-functioning Employee Relations team, the full-time Associate Director of Employee Relations will provide senior-level oversight of ER strategy, manage complex escalations, and serve as a strategic advisor to Legal and HR leadership while working remotely with a preference for candidates in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Employee Relations projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment and sustainable outcomes while developing ER policies and procedures
• Own the organization's ER risk and compliance posture, advising leadership on risk exposure and ensuring legal and compliant decision-making
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex ER matters, partnering with Legal and Compliance to resolve sensitive employee concerns

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional HR experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong risk and compliance background with experience in HR focused on compliance and employee relations
• Progressive employee relations experience, including leading complex workplace investigations
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and its application to ER matters
• Sound judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential information
