Associate Director of Medical Writing

Job Summary

To support the advancement of precision medicines, the full-time remote Associate Director of Medical Writing will manage and author high-quality clinical and regulatory documents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to interpret data and develop key messaging for Encoded's programs.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage clinical, regulatory, and preclinical deliverables, including clinical study protocols and Investigator Brochures
• Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze clinical data and translate findings into scientifically accurate content
• Support the development of scalable medical writing infrastructure, including templates, processes, and document QC practices

Required qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) preferred, with relevant experience in biopharmaceutical or regulatory environments
• Prior experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company, ideally with contributions to BLA/NDA submissions
• Strong background in producing high-quality scientific and medical documents for internal and external distribution
• Exceptional computer skills and familiarity with document creation and sharing software
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
