Associate Director of Production
Job Summary
Leading a dynamic frontlist production team, the full-time remote Associate Director of Production will manage a portfolio of 40-45 titles annually while coaching production managers and ensuring high-quality standards across various children's book formats.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coach the production team in scheduling, prepress, estimating, printing, and binding processes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide editorial options and keep projects on track regarding schedule, budget, and quality
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate prices, and oversee quality control reviews
Required qualifications
- 15 years of book production experience, with at least 10 years in children's publishing
- Excellent knowledge of all facets of book production and manufacturing
- Experience in people management is a plus
- Working knowledge of Biblio and RSuite is desirable
- Familiarity with the Google platform is desirable
