Job Summary

Leading the in-house legal function, the full-time Associate General Counsel (CA, NY, TX Licensed) will manage corporate governance, intellectual property, risk management, and employment law matters while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own all corporate and board governance activities, serving as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
• Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights, and advise on IP considerations in product development
• Oversee the company's insurance program and provide guidance on risk management strategies and compliance with regulatory developments

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing in California, New York, or Texas
• 8-12 years of legal experience, including in-house experience at a technology or fintech company
• Expertise in corporate governance, intellectual property management, and employment law
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and boards with clarity and sound judgment
• Fluency with AI tools in a professional context, utilizing technology to enhance productivity
