Associate Legal Counsel, Privacy
Job Summary
Advising on product development and privacy matters related to advertising, the full-time Associate Legal Counsel, Privacy will work remotely to counsel product, engineering, and marketing teams on legal issues in the ad-tech space.
Key responsibilities
- Advise ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle
- Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar
- Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection matters
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment
- CIPP/US certification preferred
