Job Summary
Supporting the Merchant in all aspects of product assortment and financial planning, the part-time Associate Merchant will analyze sales data, make product recommendations, and maintain vendor partnerships in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Make recommendations regarding product assortment, pricing, and merchandising strategies based on trends and forecasts
- Analyze sales information to identify opportunities for increasing sales and margins
- Develop and maintain vendor partnerships while influencing supplier management strategies
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of retail merchandising experience or equivalent education in a related area
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong financial acumen and negotiation experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Understanding of merchandising plans and processes
