Job Summary
Leading the technical evolution of the OpenAI motion pipeline, the full-time remote Associate Motion Technical Director will manage and mentor Motion Designers while building systems to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the technical roadmap for the OpenAI motion pipeline to improve workflow and scalability
- Build, test, and maintain scripts, templates, and AI-assisted tools for motion production and quality control
- Directly manage and develop Motion Designers, focusing on their growth and technical problem-solving skills
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in motion design, technical direction, or related fields
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality motion work and system-building capabilities
- Deep expertise in Adobe After Effects, including expressions and project architecture
- Experience with scripting, plugins, and automation, preferably with JavaScript or ExtendScript
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Computer Science, Film, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
