Associate Security Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Associate Security Analyst II will analyze user behavior and logs, monitor SIEM alarms, and assist in developing detection capabilities while actively hunting for evidence of compromise across client environments during night shifts.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze user behavior, logs, and alerts from various security technologies for clients
- Monitor, triage, and investigate SIEM alarms and client support requests
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and suggest remediations based on the results
Required qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity or related fields
- Experience with SIEM and EDR tools for monitoring and incident response
- Proven experience in threat investigation and proactive threat hunting
- Strong proficiency in log analysis and interpreting system logs
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, PCI, GDPR)
