Associate Software Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a remote-first culture, the entry-level Associate Software Engineer will focus on building AI capabilities into products by developing AI agents, Model Context Protocol servers, and integrating AI features while collaborating with senior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI agents that utilize large language models to perform tasks within Cayuse products
- Assist in the development of Model Context Protocol servers, implementing tools, APIs, and ensuring reliable integrations
- Write unit and integration tests for AI features, contributing to the evaluation and troubleshooting of AI outputs
Required qualifications
- 0-2 years of professional software development experience, including internships or personal projects
- Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python or TypeScript/JavaScript
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and basic authentication methods
- Demonstrated interest in AI technologies and experience with LLM APIs or prompt engineering is a plus
