Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

Utilizing basic underwriting techniques to evaluate and price new business and renewal applications, the full-time remote Associate Underwriter will manage a portfolio of commercial insurance risks, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform routine selection, evaluation, and pricing of assigned risks for new business and renewals
• Review new and renewal business requests to determine acceptability based on established guidelines
• Process endorsements, cancellations, and policy transactions while maintaining accurate account servicing

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two years of experience in a professional business or insurance environment preferred
• Previous commercial lines underwriting experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of underwriting principles, practices, and state-specific laws
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
