Job Summary
Supporting the underwriting team in a fully remote capacity, the Associate Underwriter will assist with evaluating risks for new and renewal customers, facilitate business development, and maintain relationships with independent agents.
Key responsibilities
- Develop positive working relationships with agents through various communication channels
- Assist agents with quoting and approving new accounts, while processing cancellations, endorsements, and renewals
- Gather necessary information from agents and insureds to ensure accurate underwriting and quoting
Required qualifications
- Experience in Commercial Lines underwriting or customer service
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in a fast-paced independent agency setting is preferred
