Assurance Senior Associate

Job Summary

To support a growing Government Services practice, the full-time Assurance Senior Associate will lead audit engagements for state and local governments, tribal governments, and casino entities, working in a hybrid environment across various locations including Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Dallas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through issuance, ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards
• Perform and supervise audits of governmental and tribal entities, including executing audits under GAAS and Yellow Book standards
• Mentor staff and build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience in assurance services
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA license preferred or CPA eligible and actively pursuing certification
• Working knowledge of Government Auditing Standards, GASB, FASB, and Single Audit requirements
• Experience with governmental fund accounting and federal compliance engagements is highly desirable
