Job Summary
To modernize enterprise Jira and Confluence environments for Department of Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time remote Atlassian Migration Engineer will manage technical migration execution, scripting, API integration, and automation engineering to ensure reliable data transfer to Atlassian Cloud with minimal disruption.
Key responsibilities
- Inventory legacy Jira/Confluence projects and assess migration readiness
- Plan and execute phased migrations using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant and other approved tools
- Document validation evidence, migration defects, and technical handover artifacts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in application integration, platform migration, or automation engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Jira Cloud Migration Assistant and transitions from Jira Data Center to Cloud
- Proficiency in Jira Automation, REST APIs, and scripting
- Experience integrating GitHub with Jira, including GitHub Actions
