Audience Editor

Job Summary

Supervising a team of writers, the full-time Audience Editor will ensure Earthjustice's written communications are effectively tailored for specific audiences and platforms while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity across various U.S. locations.

Key responsibilities

• Edit content for target audiences and channels, utilizing audience data to guide writers and editors
• Analyze channel data to optimize content performance and propose new content formats for emerging platforms
• Manage and coach two staff writers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment while overseeing administrative tasks

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of writing and editing experience in a professional environment, with management experience required
• 2+ years in a defined editing role with strong coaching experience
• Experience producing content for social media, digital advertising, and/or email teams
• Proficient in gathering audience analytics, particularly using Google Analytics
