AutoCAD Planning Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting engineering planning and record functions, the full-time remote AutoCAD Planning Engineer will create and maintain record drawings using AutoCAD 2D & 3D drafting software, focusing on floor plans, site plans, and AC 1-line drawings.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop initial designs for new projects, including modifications to equipment and new constructions
- Research property lines and create site plans using GIS information and surveying techniques
- Manage and maintain the drawings library on SharePoint, ensuring accurate record-keeping and workflow
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD software (v2020 or newer)
- Proficiency in creating and modifying 2D & 3D blocks and dynamic blocks
- Preferred experience in telecommunication or data center design, architectural design, or electrical design
- Familiarity with GIS/mapping or civil design principles
