Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, conduct software testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables for complex software projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to meet organizational standards
- Perform software testing and lead verification activities to ensure freedom from defects
- Document test results and communicate findings while supporting the resolution of open issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, with familiarity in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration tools and defect tracking systems such as JIRA
- Deep hands-on experience with EDIFECS and X.12 EDI transaction standards is preferred
