Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and cases, perform software testing, and document results while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure software quality
- Conduct software tests and lead verification activities to identify and resolve defects
- Document and communicate test results, providing insights for problem resolution and process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, as well as familiarity with continuous integration tools
- Deep hands-on experience with Edifecs and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions standards
