Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with end-user requirements in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for software and IT systems
- Conduct walkthroughs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing processes and results
- Document test results, analyze outcomes, and provide solutions for identified issues while creating daily test metrics and reporting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, with familiarity in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration/deployment tools and defect tracking systems
- Deep hands-on experience with EDIFECS and knowledge of X.12 EDI Transactions Standards
