Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with organizational standards in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for software and IT systems
- Conduct walkthroughs with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing strategies and results
- Document test results and provide analysis to resolve issues and improve testing procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in test case development and execution, along with familiarity with continuous integration tools
- Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and Edifecs software
