Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
- Perform and lead software testing to ensure proper operation and defect-free performance
- Document test results and support the analysis and resolution of issues throughout the testing process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, with familiarity in tools like JIRA and Git
- Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and experience with Edifecs is preferred
