Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with organizational standards in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for software and IT systems
- Conduct walkthroughs with project stakeholders and document test results while managing defect tracking
- Provide technical solutions to complex problems and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing with a focus on both manual and automated methodologies
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans, along with familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration tools and defect tracking systems, such as JIRA
- Understanding of performance testing tools and various testing types, including functional and regression testing
