Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance with organizational standards in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality
- Perform and lead testing of software systems, documenting and communicating test results effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve testing procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools and defect tracking systems such as JIRA
