Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and cases, ensuring software quality and compliance with organizational standards in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
- Conduct walkthroughs and collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing processes
- Document test results and support the analysis and resolution of identified issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in software testing with a focus on automated and manual testing
- Proficiency in writing test cases and scripts, with familiarity in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
- Deep hands-on experience with EDIFECS and knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions
