Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Automation Engineer for a full-time salaried position, who will optimize and maintain advanced automation systems for one of the world's largest online retailers, working both remotely and on-site across various locations.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLCs and SCADA platforms
- Oversee development scope and inspection of work performed by outside contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
- Monitor and analyze industrial networks and equipment metrics to enhance performance and reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience with PLC programming and SCADA-based monitoring systems
- Experience in at least two engineering design cycles, including specification and programming
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Physical capability to lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more and perform tasks requiring mobility
