Job Summary
Designing and maintaining network automation solutions, the full-time Automation Engineer will utilize Cisco CNC, Cisco NSO, Python, and APIs to automate network configuration and improve reliability across multi-vendor infrastructures in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Cisco CNC, Cisco NSO, and related technologies
- Automate network configuration changes and operational tasks while ensuring compliance and validation across the infrastructure
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to standardize practices and reduce manual intervention through automation
Required qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of service provider networking, including TCP/IP, BGP, and MPLS
- Professional experience with network automation and orchestration platforms such as Cisco CNC and Cisco NSO
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and API integrations
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems and troubleshooting network automation platforms
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years in relevant roles
