Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated Automation Engineer with 6-8 years of experience, the full-time remote position will focus on identifying and eliminating repetitive manual tasks across Steady State teams, utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD to create reliable automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Steady State teams to understand operational tasks through interviews and shadowing
- Analyze ServiceNow ticket data to identify and prioritize automation opportunities based on volume and operational impact
- Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and build GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automation deployment
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 6-8 years in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and HashiCorp Vault in production environments
- Experience analyzing ticket data to identify automation opportunities
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration
- Solid scripting ability in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
