Job Summary
Seeking a motivated Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience, the full-time remote position focuses on identifying and automating repetitive manual tasks across Steady State teams using tools such as Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Steady State teams to analyze operational work and identify automation opportunities
- Codify best practices and critical procedures into reusable Ansible playbooks and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and validate automation effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 6-8 years in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and HashiCorp Vault in a production environment
- Experience with analyzing ticket/incident data to identify automation opportunities
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, storage, and backup operations
- Solid scripting ability in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
