Automation Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Automation Quality Engineer will design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to validate software application functionality while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing guidance to associate engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop moderately complex automated test scripts and execute test cases while reporting results
- Independently identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to understand application functionality and maintain existing automated test scripts
Required qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of overall testing experience, including 1 to 2 years of automation testing experience
- Proficiency in core Java programming concepts and strong experience with automation testing tools like Selenium and JUnit
- Experience using version control systems such as Git and knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing, as well as UI and API functional testing
- Experience using JIRA and ZE management tools
