AV Design Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as the regional technical subject matter expert, the full-time Senior Technical Lead will independently produce and validate AutoCAD AV design packages for Microsoft audiovisual conference room deployments in the Puget Sound region while ensuring quality assurance and coordination with project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical SME for AV deployments, educating project teams on Microsoft AV standards and design requirements
• Create and maintain room-specific AV design packages in AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
• Coordinate AV design requirements with various documentation and stakeholders, managing drawing comments and revisions effectively

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional AV systems engineering, AV design, or audiovisual drafting experience
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD for 2D drafting and documentation
• Strong understanding of enterprise AV systems, including Microsoft Teams Rooms and associated technologies
• Experience validating bills of materials and configuration documentation against drawings and project requirements
• At least one AVIXA industry certification such as CTS; CTS-D is strongly preferred
