Aviation Quality Control Director

Job Summary

Leading quality assurance and safety oversight for a federal aviation infrastructure program, the full-time Aviation Quality Control Director will develop and implement quality and safety management plans, establish review processes for deliverables, and ensure compliance with regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Program Quality Management and Safety Management Plans, including procedures and audit schedules
• Lead the review of contractor and designer deliverables for compliance and oversee hazard identification and risk assessment
• Provide regular quality and safety reports to stakeholders and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of quality management and safety experience in large construction or infrastructure programs, with at least 5 years in a lead role
• Experience building and running a quality management system, including plans and audits
• Working knowledge of OSHA and relevant health and safety regulations
• OSHA 30 certification and ISO 9001 auditor or lead auditor training, or equivalent
