Job Summary
To support the USPTO P-TACTS program, the full-time AWS Certified AI Engineer will design, build, and evaluate AI solutions that convert unstructured legal filings into structured data, primarily using Python on Databricks in a secured federal environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build LLM pipelines to extract structured data from unstructured legal documents
- Validate model outputs against schemas and business rules, ensuring data integrity
- Advise on future use cases for AI applications, including fine-tuning language models
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of applied ML, data science, or AI engineering experience, with 2+ years in production LLM applications
- Strong Python skills, including experience with pandas or PySpark
- Production experience with LLM APIs and validating outputs against schemas
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate or equivalent cloud ML certification
