AWS Cloud Security Architect

Job Summary

To enhance the security of a software-as-a-service platform, the full-time AWS Cloud Security Architect will design and build the AWS environment, ensuring security across all layers while collaborating closely with developers and infrastructure engineers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design the security architecture for the AWS environment and participate in all stages of design and build
• Set and maintain secure baselines for identity, network controls, containers, storage, and encryption
• Develop security logging and monitoring systems to track and investigate activities across AWS accounts and workloads

Required qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in security engineering or architecture, with at least five years focused on AWS security
• Expert knowledge of AWS identity management, networking, and encryption technologies
• Strong experience with container security, particularly using Amazon EKS or ECS
• Proficiency in designing security logging systems using AWS services like CloudTrail and GuardDuty
• Experience securing SaaS platforms for regulated customers, ideally in financial services
