AWS Cloud Security Consultant

Job Summary

Protecting customer workloads in a fully remote capacity, the AWS Cloud Security Consultant will manage detection engineering, incident response, and network hardening across AWS environments while ensuring security compliance and automating responses.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploy and tune AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector across multi-account environments
• Engineer detections and integrate AWS telemetry into the customer's SIEM for enhanced threat visibility
• Design network security measures, including VPC segmentation and implement edge protection strategies with AWS WAF and Shield Advanced

Required qualifications:

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, CCSP, or an equivalent GPS-approved certification
• Proficiency with AWS security services, particularly GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS) and STIG or CIS hardening on Linux and Windows
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise SIEM
• DoD 8140-compliant baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+)
