AWS Cloud Security Engineer
Job Summary
To strengthen cloud security posture, the remote Sr Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and manage security controls across AWS environments while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation in a contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures within AWS environments
- Manage and optimize AWS security services, including IAM, Security Hub, and GuardDuty
- Conduct cloud security assessments, monitor security events, and respond to incidents
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Security or Cybersecurity Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS security services and controls
- Expert knowledge of AWS IAM and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
