AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize data storage and query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective reporting solutions in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, ensuring optimal query performance and data organization
- Evaluate AWS data strategies and recommend appropriate services for reporting and analytics based on business needs
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for data infrastructure management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered
- U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity
