AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will design and implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, enabling business stakeholders to efficiently run SQL-based reports and queries remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, optimizing for query performance and cost
- Evaluate and recommend AWS data storage and query architectures, collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting requirements
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to maintain data infrastructure using AWS-native tools
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, Aurora, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured or non-relational data
