AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, manage data migrations, and optimize query performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data to AWS, defining storage formats and optimizing for performance
- Evaluate and implement AWS data strategies and services to support business reporting needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into durable data models and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
