Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models, all in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the migration of healthcare data from a Microsoft SQL object store to AWS
- Design and build a reporting layer for non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Evaluate and recommend optimal AWS-native data storage solutions based on business needs
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare settings
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services, including S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
