AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
To lead the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective data management in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform from a Microsoft SQL XML object store to a cloud-native AWS architecture
- Design and build a reporting and query layer for business stakeholders to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure using AWS-native tooling
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with XML-heavy data stores
