AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize data storage solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to support reporting and query needs in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data to AWS, ensuring optimal query performance and data organization
- Design and maintain the reporting layer for non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with XML-heavy data stores
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
